How Lightning is Formed?

Lightning is a dangerous aspect of weather. Lightning occurs most frequently during thunderstorms, but has also been observed during volcanic eruptions, extremely intense forest fires, and surface nuclear detonations. In a thunderstorm, lightning is created as a discharge of built up energy due to the separation of positive and negative charges which are generated inside the thunderstorm.
Lightning is one of the most powerful natural forces on the planet.

how did hurricane katrina form?

Hurricane Katrina formed in the Bahamas by formed from a tropical depression with conditions of low pressure.
Tropical wave over warm ocean water with conditions favorable, the storm gathers strength from the warm ocean, until it begins to rotate and grows to a monster storm.

Where did Hurricane Ike hit?

It hit the western areas of cube Ike came ashore in Galvaston Texas, in the Gulf of Mexico, Houston, Texas and then curved north east through the country.
The hurricane also resulted in the largest evacuation of Texans in that state's history.
